Rocket is 9 Months Old!

Happy 9 Month Birthday Baby Rocket!

He's pretty amazing for a kitten and I smile every time he hops up in my lap to cuddle. He is still super quiet and only meows when he wants to have his dinner. He loves FOOD. ALL FOOD. He wants whatever anyone else is eating and is not afraid to let you know with a little tiny yellow and white paw on your lap or even tries to jump up in your lap at the table.

I love him with my whole heart!

White Pants After Labor Day

Spent some outside time with the kids this afternoon. Decided that today, I would go against the grain and throw out the old fashion rule of "No white pants after labor day!" I wore white pants and I think I rocked them pretty hard! Took some selfies with the Baby Dexter!

Really, all there is to say about them is LOOK AT THEM! 

They are beautiful and loved and amazing!

Kitties and Face Paint

Today was pretty fun! Baby Dexter was pretty clingy and sleepy which usually makes for a ton of pictures since he's always in my sight. No difference today. He was sitting on the cat tower by the back window and the light was hitting him in just the right way!

It was about 10 minutes later that Rocket took Dexxy's spot on the tower and Jinx crawled up top. Dexter tried, unsuccessfully to get Rocket to move off of the tower before just giving up and laying down on the outside one. He's pretty spoiled if I do say so myself. I must admit that a lot of it is my fault!!

Finally, Taylor came over for me to do some face painting for a party that she was going to later in the evening. We spent about an hour and a half getting the eyes and forehead before we could finish up with the nose and lips! Luckily we planned for two hours. I love that my friends like my art enough to trust me with face paint!

Today was a good day!

Friday at the Chrysler

Ami and I went to the Chrysler Museum today and spent several hours enjoying the art and history as well as the glass blowing demonstration. At the bottom of this post if a very long video of the glass blowing demo. It was pretty awesome!

After the Hurricane

Well, we did end up losing power, only for one night though, we were lucky! 

There is a good chance that the big tree in the backyard will eventually fall down. It's roots came up a good 4 inches after the water dissipated from the backyard.

We drove out to Terry's warehouse to see how bad the flooding was.. and it was pretty bad!

My Sweet Ginger Baby

I love this baby boy with all of my heart. He's only 8 and a half months old, but he's pretty amazing already! He's the destroyer of toilet paper, the eater of all foods and the cuddle of laps!

Sunday's are Always Fun!

DEXTER!!!

I must admit that I have a special place in my heart for Baby Dexter! He's always been the odd kid, just like his mommy!

He's done this for a while, and I finally got some good video.

He takes ONE piece of food out at a time and chases it then eats it! He's my boy!

Finally, after about an hour of eating ONE PIECE of food at a time, he finally seemed to give up and go to sleep!

was watching from her guard tower in the living room. I like to think that she was silently judging the activities from afar. She's beautiful and prickly!!

She just turned 2 on August 3rd. She shares a birthday with her Uncle Michael.

I love her!!

I got around to making some dinner. I found a recipe for Filipino Pork Skewers..

It was delicious!! I made a yummy rice pilaf to go with it. Just kind of threw it together with some half thought.

I like to think how far I've come from 25 years ago not being able to make a meatloaf!!

Saturday Fun

Well the day started out with Rocket and Dexter playing in the office and they were absolutely adorable, so I recorded them!

And finally, the day ended in making the menu for the next week, baking a cake that says "Michelle is Awesome" and making some steaks and salads!

Tacos and Rainbows

So, we all know that I have a love of everything that involves me eating Mexican foods. That point is not able to be argued! Well, I decided the tonight would be a little carne aside taco with some lovely refried beans. I just wish I had more time and I would have made the tortillas from scratch!!

After dinner, there was a beautiful rainbow that could be seen in the backyard. It was double, but the second one was so daily that it was really not able to be captured on film!

So pretty though!!
