Anke's Visit (Day 12)

We headed out this morning to Alghero on the opposite side of the island. It takes about two hours to drive there. At the very tip of Alghero is a place called Capo Caccia... It's very tall!

After Capo Caccia, we headed down into the city of Alghero..

 Then on the way home, we stopped in Codrongianos to see the old church...

Anke's Visit (Day 9)

We tried to have a leisurely day today after all of the traveling and sightseeing...

Anke and I played a little in the water at the beach next door to our house...

Eike enjoyed the sun on the way to La Maddalena.

Had a little dinner and a few drinks at a place down by the water with an amazing view.

Anke's Visit (Day 7)

Today was a LONG travel day on a laundry list of places

We started out in the morning in Porto Cervo..

When we left, we headed into the hills of Arzachena to see a few sights.

Stop one was the "Tomba di Giganti di Lolghi" or Tomb of the Giants.

It was from the nuraghic age of Sardinia (1600-1200 BCE) and was a burial slab and stones.

A little further down the road was the Necropoli li Muri. It was a late Neolithic Era burial mound that was dated to about 3500-3700 BCE.

We left early in the afternoon and headed over to Santa Teresa where Anke immediately went for fresh fruit and Eike and I decided to get gelato! (We made the better choice!))

Then back to Palau and a ferry ride over to La Maddalena for a movie and drinks..

Anke's Visit (Day 4)

Today- we took a drive our to Bear Rock-- Boy was it windy!
