When you look up into the sky and see something that resembles the clouds in the movie Independence Day when the aliens were about to land.... It's a tiny bit scary!
It blew through pretty fast, brought a little bit of rain and then was gone, but it definitely scared the heck out of the kittens!
For once, they were right. There was about 3 feet of snow and in a few places, more than that. There was no way I was going to make it into the office with all of this snow.
Even the barbecue grill was COVERED in snow!
And what do we do when we're stuck in the house... Cat pics and Snapchat Selfies!
Jinx had a little fun this morning before I went to work. He was begging at the back door to get back out there as soon as I finished giving them breakfast!
Woke up to a correct weatherman again! This morning the backyard was covered in snow. Looks like there is at least 7-8 inches on the table.
Looked out the front door and the same thing. My car is pretty much encapsulated in snow!
I left the door open so the kids could look out the door. Jinx was rather interested in the snow again!
I set up mu work computer and my home computer as well as my iPad at my desk, and made a cup of coffee and started working from my laptop. I got a few hours of work done!
Jinx was crying at the door, begging to go out. I decided to let him go. I never in a million years thought that he would like it this much!
He dug a hole, sat down, and began burying his paws in the show!
Warmed the little guy up and he fell asleep like this on the blanket that I am making for Terry
So, apparently it snowed last night! Woke up this morning and the weatherman was correct! 3-4 inches of snow! Of course, I was late to work, but so was everyone else!
Jinxie was the only one who dared to venture outside. This was his first snow and he was super impressed. He immediately got out there and walked around. Slow at first, but them really enjoying the weather!
Looks like we have SNOW! It doesn't happen very often in Virginia and THIS is the FIRST time that we've had this much snow in a long time. According to our neighbors who have lived here since the early 70's.. the last time it was this bad was in 1979.
It started Saturday night and snowed full-time until Sunday early evening. Since we live in an adult only community... (The greatest invention on the planet.. no one under 21 can live here!) the plowing was non-existent and really no one left their apartments. It was mainly us and a few of the under 50 crowd that was out playing in the show. Proof is the pictures and videos of us outside pretty much alone! The best part was that I was already on vacation for Monday when the roads were at their worst. Terry moved the 350Z over to a far out of the way parking area so it was safer from the crazies (us) who would attempt to get out in the snow to drive. (good call) The Jetta and the Z are pictured to the right, covered in snow! Worst part- we were supposed to move Sunday and Monday across town.. that didn't happen.
