Big Jinx and Tiny Rocket

Ah, my big ginger floof! I love this face. He has no idea how big he is!! He'll be 6 on March 26th and weighs in at about 19-20 pounds. He's a B I G boy!!

And then there's this guy! He was super helpful helping me plan the grocery list and menu this afternoon.. Rocket J. just turned 3 on Jan 29th.

He was trying to drink my tea as well!

Sweet Bears

 Baby Dexter decided he was extremely interested in what I was crocheting this morning.

Oliver was a cuddle bug

And then there was Rocket. Dexter Morgan was on the One Fast Cat Treadmill and Rocket does not like to share.

New Years Day Hike

So, after a heavy brunch with Ally, Val, Jason and Cole-- it was decided that we should go take a hike to work off some of the food. First Landing State Park is a few minutes drive from our house and we decided to go and take one of the 5 mile hikes.

First Landing State Park is near the site of the first landing of Christopher Newport on 26 April 1607 as they established the first colony in Jamestown. The part is toughly 2900 acres.

So much beauty in one place! Even a swamp looks amazing here!

Val, Ally and I decided to hide in the woods from Jason and Val's son Cole to "scare" them, which started a domino effect of "scares" on the trail for the next 2 hours!

We just had to stop right here and take a moment to appreciate the view. It's insane to believe that this is just a few minutes drive from the house.

The Littlest Lord

My little baby boy. Oliver. He's 1 year and 3 months old and I love that he's finally coming around to wanting to be cuddled. He's had a rough start but he's starting to trust us!

Catnip!

Decided to give the kids a little catnip tonight. Of course they do love the catnip!

Isabella is Weird

So, the security camera in the Star Wars room caught Isabella being odd in the middle of the night..

These Cats Make me Crazy!

Spent some quality time with the kids this morning. Got a great picture of Little Lord Oliver and Big Jinx. So photogenic, my ginger boys!

Then, there is Rocket J. Wiggs. The below video was taken from the security camera this morning. He skulked back and fourth for a few seconds and I was oblivious to the whole thing until he jumped on top of the lamp and knocked it all over.

The morning started with the three ginger bears on the cat condo and then a surprise hello from Dexter Morgan. I love his little head tilt!

By the end of the night, we have Rocket and Oliver cuddling on the bed. Those two are so freaking cute! They really love each other!

Ollie's Fitting In

Oliver playing with Rocket tonight. He's definitely starting to feel more comfortable here. It's going to be a long road before he doesn't run when you even look like you are walking toward him.

Dex and Boomer

I swear, this was the easiest transition with a new kitten!

Dexter has decided that Boomer is his favorite. He follows him around all day. Wherever Boomer is sleeping, you can assured that Dexter is really close.

THIS is what I came home to Sunday!

Babies in Boxes

We replaced the cardboard boxes in the kitchen with wicker boxes. Looks like that was a popular idea with the kids.

Playing Catch

In the last few years, I have been teaching Boomer how to sit, stay, and catch. For a cat, he's doing pretty well. Jinx on the other hand, is not really quite there. He's seen in the first video below thwarting Boomer's attempt to show Mommy how to catch.

Here, Boomer completed the catch and Jinx misses.... :)

Jinx vs. the Nail File

So, our evening ended tonight with Jinx and his need to take out with my nail file. Anytime he sees one, he just HAS TO HAVE IT!!! He's a special boy!
