Harbor Fest 2012

This weekend was Harbor Fest. We decided to take the newly constructed light rail into downtown Norfolk and see the tall ships and maybe a few other things in downtown.

Tall Ships were everywhere! It was a sight!

We were able to go aboard the Mexican Ship "Cuavatemoc".

A Night on the Beach

Terry and I took a drive down to the Boardwalk tonight. Perfect weather, not too hot and not too windy. THe Lifeguard chairs had the red "Warning" flags up.

THis is the "Old Coast Guard Station" on the oceanfront. We stopped just past here for ice cream.

Oh Canada!

Since we were already in Pennsylvania for Mom's wedding, we decided to take the additional three hour drive up into Canada to see Niagara Falls!

Here we are arriving in Buffalo, NY

We crossed over the Peace Bridge and headed to the Canadian Border. We got searched. I wonder if we look suspicious..

Walk at the Park

We decided to take a little afternoon walk at Mt. Trashmore Park this afternoon. Our friend "D" and her puppies, Canon and Lucy came with us. Canon leads "D" down the side of the lake.

Back to Appomattox

We headed up to Appomattox again this weekend to see Ron and Gloria.

Started out the weekend with a trip to the Appomattox Museum of the Confederacy

Then a trip to the Confederate Cemetery just outside Appomattox

Then out to Farmville, VA for lunch at Charley's Waterfront Wine Bar and Grille

Then out to the High Bridge Trail between Farmville and Rice...

My Uncle came to Virginia Beach for work, so we got to hang out for two nights! He finally get to meet my husband! (It's been 16 1/2 years.. I'd say it was about time!)
