Norfolk Botanical Gardens

Terry and I decided that we would take a trip over to norfolk today and check out the norfolk Botanical Gardens. Neither of us had been there in quite some time.  (Click HERE for the Norfolk Botanical Garden Website)

The gardens lies on 155 acres near the Norfolk Airport and was started in 1938 by the Works Progress Administration (WPA)

We headed out early and had a little lunch at a place in Ghent.. The Green Onion. (Click HERE for the Green onion Website) We each had a sandwich. Mine was an apple and bacon grilled cheese and he had a grilled chicken on flatbread.

Here's us in the car on the way to Norfolk. Terry can be so silly sometimes.

After arrival, we headed into the garden and spent the next few hours just meandering around in the different little sections. The one below is one of the areas that has an meditation path in the shape of a  figure eight.

We walked a little further down the path....
